Mira Well this won't do thought Mira, kicking at a small pebble on the beaten wooden path. This will not do at all
Twin walls towered over her petite frame on all sides except the way she came. With a sigh, Mira turned back to view her only option: Backtracking. She had meant to enter the maze only for a moment, just to trim a few hedges, and now she was lost with a pair of clippers in her hand. Theoretically, she could cut her way out of the situation, but, Mira realized as she snapped a twig in hair with the metal blades, that would only get her into more trouble.

Avery Averywas walking through the maze with contentment as he let his mind wander far enough to get lost with reality. With the days being rainy and quite annoying, the skies were dark and the cloak he held kept him safe from the rain. With the hood covering his skull, his breath was beginning to show in air. It was subtle, but it was another hint that Fall was beginning to crawl into Winter.
Being snapped out of reality, he stopped in his tracks as he could only hear the trickle of water going down the drains for a moment. And then there it was, it was Mira's voice that was coming through the hedges. Although he couldn't place the person, he could slightly recognize the voice, as if he had heard it in a conversation that he briefly tuned in on.
He listened closely once more, and then found his way to her. He was behind her, of course, and she seemed ready to clip her way out of this place. " Hello?" He said curiously, his brows furrowing as his facial expression looked confused and amused. [/i]

Mira The color flooded to her face as Mira attempted to conceal the clippers behind her back (not an easy feat for she was a smaller woman and the clippers were not small at all). "Hello..." she answered. The blush became deeper as she recognized him as one of the palace guards.

Avery " Do you need help, madam?" He said laughing a bit, and stepped forward. He noticed her blush, and wondered if she enjoyed the heat against the cold. He subconciously wrapped his jacket around himself even more.
His facial features were kind and stern, and his muscles and bones ached from the cold's effect on his old scars and wounds that were never healed properly. " Don't you know it's unwise to cut the leaves so close to winter?" He said frowning, but then shrugged it off. " What brings you here?" He said coaxingly.

Mira "I'm one of the gardeners," Mira admitted, showing the clippers. "But, unlike whoever built this place, I'm not a gardener with a decent sense of direction. My name is Mira. Mira Manette."

Avery [/b] Avery laughed, and he held out his hand. " Come with me." He said gently, showing her the way out. He didn't mind that she was lost, he was just happy that he had came in the knick of time, to save from having the King being a little annoyed that someone went through his garden like that.
"I'm Avery. Just Avery." He said gently, looking to the sky for a moment as snow began to fall. He lifted his hood, his body cloaked in heavy winter gear. " It's getting cold out, isn't it? I can see my breath now, not so great in the morning." He said grinning, feeling a little awkward that he mentioned something personal like that.
