Ophelia Ophelia brushed the dust from her shoulders as she stepped out of the room. Thinking about what little of the conversation she had heard, she nearly forgot to answer his question. "I think- I think you were about to send me on a mission." Even if she was incorrect, it was a reasonable suggestion and one that she would prefer to being cooped up in the Horde like some human pet.

King Zagan
A low growl shook him at her assumption. He folded his arms and looked over at her. "How presumutious, little human," he said. He did not bother to call her a half-breed now. Human would suffice for how much he wished to degrade her.

Ophelia Cowering, she said, "Only a suggestion m'lord. A misunderstanding. And I am no human."

King Zagan
He snorted and then returned to his throne. He fell into, nothing graceful and stared at her. His presence was still ominous despite his now vulnerable stance. He grumbled lowly to himself. She was human despite her rejection of the idea.
He snorted and folded his arms. "And why suggest I send you a on a mission?"

Ophelia Ophelia straightened back up and rolled her shoulders back. "Because I have not failed in the past. Because I have proven that I am capable of undertaking missions of that sort. And besides, why else would you have called me here..." her voice began to falter as she inwardly worried that she had gone too far again.

He snorted some, his nostrils at first flaring with anger before he just bellowed laughter at her. "Such a cocky human," he said, his chest shaking with the laughter that had previously errupted from him.
He settled enough to pat his stomach. "You seem to believe that you have done a good job," he snorted. "Though that is your opinion. Your work is mediocre at best. We only use you because you are the only mix breed here."

Ophelia She flushed at first, seeing his evident anger. She had been in his service for some time now and had learned to read his many moods. But then he laughed. He called her cocky but did her arrogance not seem to amuse him? Or at least that's how Ophelia evaluated it.
"Then, if not for that reason, why did you call for me?"

King Zagan
His eyes narrowed some but he seemed to settle down, waving his clawed hand some. He purred some to himself now in content. "Of course I called on you for your facilities," he leaned back into his throne.
"Though it will be much easier than you think," he said. "Hopefully." He stretched. "You know the ball in the Neutral Kingdom, there will be demons and humans alike." He said. "Though I don't know how neutral the occasion will be I want you to mascarade as a nuetral or an ally, whichever you prefer," he snorted. "Make friends to get information from, not many will be likely to talk in such mixed company, but if you confide in them."

Ophelia Bowing her dark-haired head in gratitude, she couldn't help but fight down a smile. T'would not be easy, convincing another human to trust her but it was not impossible. She was pretty enough, by human standard if not by demon, and some of the more shallow humans were willing to settle for just her looks when it came to trust. "I'll do my best, m'lord."

"You are dismissed," he waved his hand and then stood up to go into his private chambers. He leaned heavily against the rock that provided a door frame for it but before he slipped into the room he cast her one last look.
"Oh, and don't be seen when you leave."
