The library was large, very large indeed as the shelves of books looked as if they went on for miles. With the air crisp and smelling of ancient history, the mood was set to quiet and concentrated. The sound of ruffled papers, quiet coughs, and small sniffles could be heard as the secretary looked up at you.
"Welcome to the Library." She said whispering, standing as her slim figure was eye catching. Her ears pointed to the sky as her eyes were a deep almond shaped. She handed you a small trinket, the smallest key holding to the back where the Scrolls were held, along with the maps. " Return this when you're finished." She said as she blinked innocently.

"Finally!" She grunted as she glided to her bedroom, shutting the door and locking it behind her. She leaned against the fancily decorated door, her chest heaving in and out. After a few moments, her breathing returned to normal and she walked gracefully to her closet. She pull opened the huge double doors and began to look through her wardrobe. There, at the very end was a black cloak and a pair of commoner clothes. She undressed quickly and put the raggedy clothes on, or what was consider raggedy to her. Clinging to her upper proportion was a tighter black shirt and to her lower frame was a pair of tan pants, with black shoes. Over this, was her long black cloak, which she pulled the hoodie over her head, tucking in her hair, and removing her jewel from her forehead.
"There!" She whispered as she examined herself in her body length mirror. Sighing, she turned quickly over her shoulder, and made a dash for the window. She grabbed her bag that was on the floor and pushed open the window. Leaning out, she looked left and right, examining the garden. The coast was clear. She took a hesitant step as she leaned out further, grabbing onto the vines that were on her right side. She grabbed tightly and lurched herself forward, beginning to lower herself down the vine.
After a few moments, she was on the ground. She looked left and right, a guard was coming. She inhaled deeply and quickly ran to hide behind a row of green bushes. She waited silently, holding her breathe in for what seemed like forever. The guard walked by, whistling an unfamiliar tune. Rolling her eyes, she stood up and ran, heading towards the court yard gates. She ran the entire way, slipping through the bars and out of the kingdom.
The library wasn't too far. About a half a mile or so. The road was not made out of concrete, but dirt and rocks, and very dusty. Close to the library was the Neutral Kingdom's Town Square, maybe after a little research she would go to the Tavern and have a few drinks, or maybe just roam around Town Square and buy a few new souvenirs. She quickened her strides as she approached the public library. Many people were inside as she pulled the doors open. She lowered her head, pulling the hoodie further down over her head. She went to the very back, and began searching through her normal books.
After she had picked up a few, she grabbed a random one, and sat down at the table in the corner in the far back hand corner. What was she hiding? She sat down, scooting the chair closer to the table. In her lap was one more book, something about the Horde. And in her hands was a book about the Alliance, but covering that up was something about pretty princesses and princes. She began to read the history of the Alliance, and next..the Horde.
Why would the princess come to the public library when she has her father's library? Well, in her father's library there is nothing on the other kingdoms, just a bunch of brain washing bullshit on The Neutral Kingdom. She grunted in disgust as she thought of her father's library and the books he had tried to make her read. Shaking her head, she looked up, and then over her shoulder. No one was in site. Looking back down, her eyes skimmed over the book, reading each line very carefully.

With the texture old and worn, every word was black and inked permanently, there was a magic spell around the book that protected itself from your need to get rid of the past that was true indeed. Before you know it, you are sucked inside of the book, your surroundings are changing and you are the shadow against the wall of the memories coming together, just for you. It is set many years ago, the Kingdoms just being born. the Alliance seeming to loom onto it's own past for your hunger of the truth. The King straightened, his hard jaw set in a certain place, the back of it beginning to click out of nervous habit. He wringed his hands together to satisfy his nerves, standing as he got up from his throne to walk across the large and granite rooms to connect his hand to his daughters, a gentle touch as a worried look was across his face. " Are you sure this is what you want?" He said as he knew what the answer would be. His hair was beginning to turn gray, a bald spot forming on the top of his head. His forehead was wrinkled, his entire body seeming worn and weak.
"Yes, father." The daughter said urgently, devious glances behind her eyes as she bowed to him once more. The father pursed his lips together, knowing he couldn't keep her in his arms forever. "Then you have my permission to go across the midlands to search for yourself, be aware my daughter, for it is very dangerous. There lies treachery among us, and I'm afraid I cannot trust anyone." He said as his eyes sparked the smallest suspicion for his own kin, but then it vanished, his pain seeming to much for him to bear. He turned his back to her, lifting his hand as his final goodbye. " Go, my darling." He said softly, walking out of the room to his study, a tear rolled onto his cheek as his son came in, enraged at his fathers actions. " You let her go? Why did you do that father? You knew she was treacherous, she's not going to go find herself, she's going to try and kill all of us!" The king didn't look up, and he gave a look towards his son, it was the look of wise and sorrow, and he stood to place a hand onto his sons shoulder.
"Do not worry of your sister, just mourn for her." He said quietly, turning to walk away as his throat collapsed with tears, almost going to a jog to run to the nearest room. It was empty, his daughters nursery from so long ago. He shut the doors, and sat on one of the toddler beds, his face in his hands.
Elaine, the daughter, mounted on her peach colored horse, it's feet eager to hit the open road as she was finally free. For at last she would be free to do her wishes, to be with her love. With the letter in her pocket, she kicked into the horses sides as the dirt flew up behind her, the evening sky looming in the distance as everything was just ecstasy. With the cloak on her back and the dress thin and nothing against the cold, she bundled up as clouds of smoke appeared in front of her eyes.
Almost hours later, she was in the midlands, the small trading town which be later known as the Neutral Kingdom would be formed. With eager steps she led her horse to the stable and went to the small housing district, the same address, the exact description, she was here. She knocked on the door, but was too eager for that and opened it instead. Her eyes flickered from shock, surprise, and then it ended in enragement. " What are you doing here?" She said angrily, her brother in the corner of the room. "Tsk, tsk. Is that how you treat your only brother?" He said with a smug look, his eyes dancing with enjoyment.
"You have no right to be here!" She said as she was searching around, was it all a lie? " Where's Athrak?" She demanded, knowing how she would've known about him. " You mean that Horde scum?" He fired back angrily, his eyes turning to rage now. " Why would you do such a reckless thing?" He said stepping towards her, and then stepped back as he smirked. "You thought you could over turn the thrown, but you didn't, and it won't ever happen again." He said pulling his hand out behind his back, his entire hand stained with blood. " I took care of it." He said smiling wickedly.
Elaine could do nothing but stare at his hand, before she placed one hand on her stomach. " You thought we were trying to over turn the Alliance?" She said angrily, her eyes now fire filled. Tears sprang into her eyes, her throat tightening as she couldn't find out if it was from anger or from sorrow. " You don't even know what you're talking about!" She yelled at him, take a glass mug from a table not to far away and threw it at him. He dodged it, running over and pinning her against the wall and whispered hatefully into her ear, " And now dad has sent out a warrant to kill you, because of your little act."
Elaine then began to laugh, finally cracking as she spat hatefully into his ear, " You know what would anger you even more? We weren't over throwing the throne, we were having an affair." She whispered the last sentence, the air growing still as her brother stiffened, his vision turning red. She continued, " And I'm bearing his child." And then she was onto the floor, the Kings son rage was uncontrollable. " You whore!" He said angrily as he went into the small kitchen, grabbing a knife. " You fucking whore!" He said as he stabbed her into the chest, a shriek echoing out Elaine's mouth. She was silent then, but she was struggling. He pulled out the knife, and keeping her down by pushing on her collarbone, stabbed her in the stomach. " There will be no kin of Horde and Alliance." He said whispering, his vision blurring as tears were rolling down his cheeks, his vision a bright red. Blood was messy, the sticky and staining substance holding onto the boards beneath them as it pooled.
After she was dead, he stood, blood on every ounce of his clothing as he picked her up, her blood still draining from her life bearing body. He took her into the bedroom, Athrak laying in a bloody heap on the bed. He placed her there beside him, his entire heart growing cold. " Never again." He said to them both, leaving the house as he changed his clothes, scrubbed his body in the cold river as snow fell around him. He was shivering, his entire body ice as he scrubbed and scrubbed the blood on his hands that weren't there anymore.
But he wasn't done, oh no. There was much to explain, much to do for the Horde if they were to be found out about. He changed into the clean clothes, stopping by the Tavern to warm up. It was after midnight before he could feel his toes, and on his way home he never looked back at the empty and blood stained house, his sister's confession haunting him for more than twenty years. He died from a Horde warrior seeking for revenge of the blood he had spilled over a countless and thoughtless act. He was drained and hung in his room, the Horde finally seeking peace in the chaotic history. The memory is done, and you are pushed out of the books hidden past as it closes in front of you, silent as confusion is slightly aroused from your expression. It leaves unanswered thoughts inside of your head, on how the King never found out, or did he? That is for another day. Another journey that you will find the next time it will open.

About an hour later, Anna was finally done reading the history of the Alliance. With a quiet sigh, she placed the book down on the table and reclined in her uncomfortable chair. A shaky hand rose to her face as she tucked her hair back into her hoodie, her fingers grazing across her ears, tucking her hair further back. She shook her head again as she picked up the book, her breathing flat and even.
"But.." She questioned to herself as she flipped the book over, reading the back as if she would find more information. Of course, she didn't. So many questions left unanswered, so many things she wanted to learn, she was still so curious. She pulled up her sleeve, the time revealing itself. "I wonder if I would have time to read this one." She muttered as she scooted back an inch, grabbing the Horde book.
Something didn't quite connect. She didn't fully understand why the Horde and the Alliance hated each other so much. And in the Neutral Library there was only so much she could learn. "Brain washing shit." She murmured as she set the Horde book on top of the Alliance. What now? She shuddered as she quickly looked over her shoulder, and left and right. The coast was still clear.
Or so it seemed..

Avery then walked in, looking around as he gave a suspicious look towards the girl in the corner. Those books, he recognized those books. Silently but surely he stepped over to her. " May I have a seat?" he said grimly, waiting for her response as he gave a protective stance, and blink or two later, he was stuck watching her, waiting.
Although she looked like she wasn't around here, the sneaking around and the two books were enough to make someone do a double take. Everyone didn't read the history books unless they were doing research, or planning.
Avery didn't like planning, especially if it was to over throw a side.

Avery's presence was enough to make anyone swallow hard. She was startled as he caught her off guard, his voice breaking the silence she had been engulfed in for quite sometime. She jumped, her head jerking up as her beautiful gray eyes looked deep into his. "Uhm, sure." She said as she shifted nervously in her chair.
"Please, go ahead and have a seat." She said again, her voice evening itself out. Her tone was very sweet and luring. She inhaled deeply, her heart thudding in her chest. It felt as if it was about to jump out of her throat. She waited, as she brought her hands to her legs.
She could imagine how odd she looked, dressed in nearly all black with a dark black cloak and a hoodie over her head, sitting in a corner, not talking or socializing with anyone, not even the librarian, all alone and never getting up from her seat.

Avery sat down and grabbed one of the books she was ready, seeing how for him it was opening to the last and final the page, the final page of knowledge it was going to give. " This book is very sacred, I see how you would come all the way in the back to read it." He said absently, flipping through previous pages as if he was skimming.
"It's a very alluring presence, is it not?" He said warmly, flickering his eyes to hers for a moment before settling the book down. " So why did you want to read them?" He said nonchalantly, picking up the Horde book which seemed to give him a glare of hostility.

She watched as he took a seat across from her. She looked him up and down, noticing the scars imprinted on his chest and how extremely buff he was. But the thing she noticed most was how soft his eyes were. She gazed into his, her own being gray speckled with green. She half smiled as she sheepishly watched him flip through the books she had obtained just an hour and a half before.
She looked up quickly as he questioned her. "Uhm..honestly" She began, her tone being quiet and a little shaky. "I wanted to learn more about the history of the Alliance and the Horde." She said, as her fragile hands reached up for her, tucking it back into her hood.

"Ah, I see." He said as he interlaced his fingers together as if he was waiting for something. " Well that's an interesting thing to learn for, any particular reason why? And were you satisfied with the history?" He said as he looked interested, and he was.
Although he didn't mind how nervous he was, it clicked off a few bells on which he didn't understand. He looked around, seeing how the people were slowly filing out, balancing it out by other people coming in. Some children came in, the Elf at the desk putting a finger to her lips and then pointing them into the right direction. He smiled, Adria was such a curious and funny Elf when you watched her long enough.

As the conversation progressed, the elven princess began to find herself being more comfortable with this total stranger. It wasn't everyday she met someone new and completely unexpected, so she might as well take advantage of this situation. "Honestly, no." She began as she twiddled her fingers, rolling her thumbs and pulling at them.
"This book." She stated as she pointed to the Alliance. "Doesn't really say what happened. Just a small story about a girl who fell in love with the son from the Horde. She was murdered by her brother who thought she was trying to over throw them. But there is so much more I want to know." She rattled on, titling her head and eying him curiously, wondering if she was boring him to death.
Usually woman were never this curious, especially princesses.
