Twiggy
He grunted, growing weary of this drab woman that had no right being in a forest she barely understood. After folding his arms he brushed past her, the bird returning to his shoulder.
If she had learned anything from before she would understand that she should follow him.

Mira Mira sprinted to catch up. "Look, I apologize for some of the things I said," she began, "you saved my life and I thank you. Now, which way goes to town?"

Twiggy
"Funny how you only want to talk to me when you feel threatened," he turned slightly. "Otherwise it's "i can take care of myself" this and "i can take care of myself" that."
He shrugged off her question, as well as he apology. Niether meant anything to him. What did he care if she made it to town? He already saved her once. He wasn't in the business of keeping a ward.

Mira "I can take care of myself... when I know what I'm fighting. I'm only a gardener and... an actress so..." she shrugged helplessly. "But I am not a damsel in distress," she added.

Twiggy
"If you say so," he said loftily over his shoulder. He had no care now, as long as she didn't become a damsel in distress while he was still in ear-range.
He folded his arms as he walked, his shoulder shifting some under the bird, but not enough to disturb her.

He monitored her over his shoulder. When the silence settled in he sighed softly, greatful she was finally done ranting. It gave him a second to monitor the surroundings, determine if they were alone or not.
The bird was looking around as Twiggy was trying to create a mental impression of their surroundings. The closest beast was not near enough to be concerned of it.

Mira Properly abashed, Mira chose to study the man leading her through the forest. After all, she was sure that he was not watching her.

Twiggy
After a few minutes or hours, it probably felt like an enternity with the silence, he turned to look at her. "You know," he grunted. "I have no intentions of escorting you out of the forest," he stopped walking, turned around and studied her. He was guaging a reaction.
The bird, disturbed by the abrupt turn pushed off the man's shoulder and flew into a nearby tree.

Mira Mira swallowed nervously. "What do you mean? It's getting late," she pointed out.
