Twiggy
"Ziva," he called to the canopy. Ever since they had traveled to this forest she had lost him on several occasions. It was a dense forest, he would admit, but it worried him when she was gone from him too long. After all she was his only permenant companion.
A shrill call answered the half-elf and he was swiftly off in that direction. It was dark, but he knew forests well enough to know what shadow was what, like the one he had his hand around was a branch, and not a snake like the shadow right above him.
In the dark you had to look for animal's eyes. They caught the light, and if you knew what signs what to look for, even in the dark, you could have the upperhand. Though, against any large cats...he shook the thought of his head. Hopefully none of those were around after all Ziva would make a lovely snack for anyone of them.
She cooed softly when she heard the subtle sound of leaves moving. She assumed it was Twiggy, and she was right. "There you are," he scolded putting his hand up to her feet and guiding her to his shoulder.
Once that matter was handled he made his way to the path. He needed to get back to town before his handler got upset with him, like last time. The longer he was away the more money he did not make. He shrugged and as we walked started whistling softly, his cloak dancing behind him.
The bird, now feeling safe, tucked her head under her wing and fell asleep.

Mira Mira had only meant to step out of the Alliance's boundaries for a moment. After all, she was a gardener in the palace and often heard too much for her own good. But she had heard of a specific plant that was found only in the Neutral and had therefore desired to take note of it and perhaps bring a sample back.

Well, he spotted the young woman and frowned. This was no place for one of the she-folk, especially alone. "Oye," he called, startling the bird on his shoulder.
Ziva shrieked and pushed off of her Master's shoulder digging her talons in only slightly. She flew low so she would not end up lost in the trees again and laned in front of the maiden, unfurling her wings some and screaming at her, almost as though she were scolding her.

Mira Mira jumped to her feet, startled in spite of herself. Fingers still twined around the herbs she was picking, she brushed her hand through her dark hair. "Yes?"

"Whad're'a doin?" he demanded once he was close enough to catch her arm and shake it some. "Are ya outta yer mind?" his eyes narrowed as he scolded her.
Of course he'd never met her. ('cause I decided that any previous happenings don't exist in this world, unless you want) But, that did not stop him from acting as though he had known her for all his life.

Mira "Excuse me?" Mira demanded, wrenching her arm free. "Is there a problem? Or is that you just have a problem with strange women walking in the woods and making a nuisance of themselves to you? Not that I was, but I've heard that you Neutral folk have those kinds of issues."

"Got a problem with young lasses meandering about the woods at this time of day," he grabbed her arm again, this time a bit more firmly. "Especially unescorted," he let her arm go, tossing it forward some.
"But if your goal is to get yourself killed by one of the beasts that live here, then fine."

Mira "I can take care of myself," Mira argued. "There's hardly any beasts about at this time of day anyways. Unless, of course, you mean that rabbit. And, would you care to keep your hands off of me?"

He frowned to her. "The beasts stalk you, they don't parade around in front of you wearing flashing colors," he folded his arms.
"In fact," he told her, as the bird on his shoulder was staring off into the darkness of the trees. "There is an unsightly one watching us now," he paused. "If you would like I can leave you to your own, so that you may deal with the brute," he started to walk away. "Would give me a head start."

Mira Mira took a good look around. Taking three determined steps towards his departing back (for she knew better than to run for any beast would then immediately give chase), she asked, "Did that bird tell you?"
